Hotel Gasthof zur Linde

That frozen lake nearby, where we could go ice skating, made the setting feel especially lovely. We were there for a week of skiing with friends and children. The rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable, and the sauna and play-party room were useful extras. We also got to use a projector for a video session. Meals worked really well for our whole group. Half-board was just right: breakfast choices were limited but thoughtfully picked, with tasty jams, spreads, ham, cheese, yogurt, eggs and fruit. At dinner there were two options, both delicious. The hotel has been run by the same family for generations, and their hospitality really added to the stay.

We came with the kids and friends for a skiing holiday, and the hosts were flexible and helped with every request. When I needed a doctor on a day clinics weren't working, they helped me find one. It was easy to arrange everything with them. There are several ski areas and other winter activities nearby. You can book breakfast only or half-board. The rooms were clean, spacious and nicely decorated, and there’s a sauna and a party room on site. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant guy was professional and hospitable, and the rooms were fairly clean, though dated. Beyond that, nearly everything went wrong during our four nights there with our dog. We never got a check-in, despite asking several times, which could be a serious issue in a fire. Breakfast was very poor, and the 8 to 10 schedule doesn't work well for skiers. The ski areas open at 8:30 and are at least a 20-minute drive away, so you can't get onto fresh slopes. The owner seemed to have a problem with pets even though dogs were allowed and we paid for ours. There was no do-not-disturb or pet-in sign, and one day the housekeeper came into our room without knocking while I was there. Not recommended!

The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were really friendly. I’d recommend it.
