Right by the cycle path, the location is convenient, and the rooms are clean and lovely. The hosts were very loud, though. Their clattering dishes woke guests early, so a quiet breakfast isn't guaranteed.

We only meant to stay for one night, but the welcome was so warm that we decided to add another. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty to eat, and we left feeling like friends rather than strangers. It's rare to meet hosts this welcoming. Thanks to Edwin, Sophie, and Grandma Urli, and to sweet little Nala the poodle. We found a real hidden gem in Jois, and we'll come back on our next holiday in Burgenland. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and Grandma Fritzi's cake was fantastic. We also enjoyed the exquisite wines and lovely setting. The family-run guesthouse is full of thoughtful touches, and they make their guests feel like a priority. We were warmly welcomed and well cared for all weekend. Many thanks for such a wonderful stay, and a big compliment to the whole team.

The earlier review from 2022 still stands for that visit: the family were polite and accommodating, the rooms very clean, breakfast excellent, and dogs were welcome. But when we wanted to return this year with our dog, the woman on the phone replied snidely, “We don't welcome dogs!” She then said dogs were no longer allowed, even after we explained we'd stayed with ours the previous year. Changing the policy is fine, but the tone really matters.
