Aparthaus Camping Stubai

We had a lovely stay at the campsite in the middle of Neustift. It's cozy, the sanitary facilities are excellent, especially the showers, and the owners were friendly, helpful, and flexible. Since we couldn't book for fewer than seven days, we called on arrival day to check for a spot and were glad one was available. The site is by Neustift's main road, but there was barely any traffic at night, so it didn't bother us. Danke Familie Pfurtscheller!

We stayed four nights in July 2024 and would definitely come back. The views of Elfer mountain and the valley are stunning, especially over morning coffee. The pitches are level and a good size, and the washrooms are clean, with roomy cubicles, private basins, and showers without timers. We didn't use the sauna. Being right in central Neustift is handy: there's a good-sized supermarket next door, a petrol station nearby, and a bus stop around the corner with frequent direct services to Innsbruck and the Stubai glacier. Bars, restaurants, and the tourist office are close too. The road nearby was fairly quiet, but the church opposite rang loudly every quarter hour, with some longer peals as well. A couple of things could be better. The 240V hookups are far from the pitches, so bring a very long extension lead. Booking is handled manually by email, and a misunderstanding meant we thought we might have no pitch after the long drive from the UK. It was sorted in the end, but an automated system would help. You also can't choose a pitch in advance; they're assigned when you arrive.

The campsite is excellent, with a great location beside a supermarket and a village that has plenty going on in summer. We enjoyed the free local brass band concerts. Check-in staff were friendly, and nights were very quiet. The ground is extremely hard, though, and getting stakes into the spots you want can be nearly impossible, so bring sturdy rock pegs. The cleaning lady was very unfriendly. On several occasions she shouted at me and my young daughter, and physically shoved my wife out of the building. Owners, perhaps closing the toilets from 11 to 12 would let her clean without interacting with guests, as many campsites do.

Billa is right around the corner, and the lift and town centre are about a five-minute walk away. The campsite was amazingly clean and set up for campers, and the staff were so helpful that we extended our stay. Strongly recommend calling ahead to make sure there's a spot. Wish every campsite met this standard. 5 stars and more 🤩😀
