Chalet Claudia

The ski bus stops right by the apartment and runs both ways to ski areas with reliable snow. We were there in mid-April and could still ski. Claudia, the landlady upstairs, was friendly and helpful, and after ten years of trying all kinds of holiday rentals, I'd definitely recommend this one. The apartment was warm enough, though the underfloor heating can only be adjusted by Claudia. We didn't mind, especially with mild weather, but a radiator would be handy for drying wet gloves. Some places we've stayed were better stocked, with basics like hand soap or olive oil left by previous guests. That said, these are small quibbles. Excellent stay.

It's easy to arrive by public transport, and the buses stop right outside and come very regularly. The apartment is tucked away at the back, so it's peaceful, with a lovely outlook over meadows towards the mountains. Spar is only a five-minute walk, and it's well stocked. Inside, there's plenty of room for a family with two children, and the modern, comfortable furnishings go with a well-equipped kitchen. The landlady was very friendly. A few extra basics would have helped, such as dishcloths, bathroom soap, coffee filters, baking paper, cling film and pot holders. They're not essential, but we've appreciated those in better-equipped holiday flats. Still, highly recommended and fairly priced.

We were able to check in early, and the hostess was very kind. The apartment felt warm and cozy, with all the utensils we needed, plus internet, a TV and a dishwasher. The bus stop is just 15 meters away, and both the glacier and the nearest town are within easy reach. I'm really glad we stayed here. The only thing missing was a hairdryer. A lovely apartment in a great area. It's quiet, and the landlady is very nice.
