Ferienwohnung Dorfpub

We stayed during New Year’s week, a group of seven in the holiday apartment above the village pub, and paid an exorbitant amount. The apartment was in a terrible state for that price. The carpets were stained, the grout and ceilings in all the rooms were moldy, and there was hair on the freshly made beds. The living room had only a two-seat sofa, nowhere near enough for nine people. The kitchen was falling apart, and the non-stick coating was peeling off the Teflon pans. Even with the heating turned up, every room was cold. The windows let in a constant draft, the roller shutters couldn’t be closed, and the thin curtains did nothing to keep out the cold or the light. We knew the apartment was above a pub and had been told to expect some noise. We hadn’t been told it was in such poor condition. This felt like a health hazard, and charging anything for it was outrageous.
