Ferienhaus Ematberg

The fenced garden was a real bonus, and our dog felt right at home. We had a lovely holiday in this beautiful house, with its fantastic view and wonderful hosts. Everything we needed was there, and we’ll definitely return.

The view from this lovingly restored house is breathtaking, and it’s a lovely place to linger. We’re here for Christmas with our toddler and dog and couldn’t be happier, even with the valley weather not feeling much like winter. Olga and Hans welcomed us warmly, lit the wood-burning stove and had delicious treats ready. Since the house had been prepared the day before, they even let us arrive early in the morning, which was a lovely bonus for us night owls. Getting to nearby towns and ski resorts is easy, and after a busy day the panoramic sauna is a great place to unwind. This place is a real gem for us. The property has a second house with a similar rustic feel, available to rent separately for families spanning several generations. Hans, the owner, came over after we called, showed us around and kindly gave us a bowl of chicken and quail eggs. The Ematberg holiday home sits quietly on a hillside at the edge of Niedernsill-Steindorf. It’s a spacious rustic house with three upstairs bedrooms, one with dormitory-style beds for up to four children. There are two shower bathrooms, and the ground-floor one also has a bathtub. Downstairs, the large eat-in kitchen is well equipped, with a corner bench, dining table and extra seats in the bay window. The living room has a big seating area and a panoramic window looking over the valley. All the rooms and furnishings were very clean. The private sauna is in an annex off the main house, with panoramic valley views. A well-stocked supermarket from a familiar wholesale chain is within walking distance.

We felt right at home in the spacious house. The sauna was roomy too, and the view was fantastic.
