The rooms were clean and had plenty of character, the food was amazing, and the staff were great. I recommend it.

We had a nice stay at this quiet part of town. The restaurant was pretty good, and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck with an Aperol spritz. There was a bit of a language barrier, but the staff were kind and friendly and worked hard to understand us.

We’re cycling through six countries, and Gasthof Post has easily been our best stop so far. The huge, comfortable rooms even had a ballroom sitting area, and there’s a large covered, secure space for bikes and motorcycles. Breakfast was excellent, with scrambled eggs and bacon, and the price was very reasonable. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so helpful and friendly, especially the woman at reception that day and the next morning. What a gem.

We like stopping here because the food is good, or we would if we knew when they were open. Neither Maps nor their own webpage says when they close for Betriebsferien, and we’ve now made the trip only to find the place shut several times. That’s a frustrating waste of time for anyone traveling through.

There’s traditional food and more, along with fantastic beer, excellent service, and a great staff. We didn’t try the pizza cooked with fire logs, though we saw lots of people taking them home. Pets are allowed, and the place is huge with a garden. Enjoy!!!
