The breakfast costs an extra €14, but it’s very meager: no fruit, vegetables, or sweet treats, among other things. I’d have breakfast elsewhere or use the apartment kitchen. The place is very clean and central, right on the slopes, and there’s a very well-equipped doctor on site. The sauna is a plus, but I’m taking off a star for breakfast.

We were four in a two-room apartment, two adults and two children. The accommodation is directly above the doctor’s practice. You can reach Zehnercar via a tow path, walk about 10 minutes to Gamdleiten 1, or cross the road and take the drag lift to Zentral-Lift. There’s also a small sauna in the basement. A good place to stay in Obertauern.

Wonderful place, with a clean apartment right in the heart of Obertauern and perfectly located. The team is friendly, and there’s a cafe very close by.
