I liked the family gathering feel most. We got to interact with most, if not all, of the other guests and made new friends. The hotel is small enough that you don’t get lost in a crowd, but it still has plenty of amenities. It’s popular with repeat guests, so it fills up fast. Julia and Christoff, the accommodating and gracious owners, are hands-on every day, helping staff and checking at each table that guests are happy. My son and I just came back from a wonderful seven-night stay at Hotel Gamsleiten. It’s a cozy little gem right by a Spar, chairlift No:14, and two more, No:18 and No:3, across the street. Ski-in/ski-out convenience doesn’t get much better. The town is lovely, and when snow conditions allow, skiing is awesome, with majestic views from the top. There are great Hütte’s along the runs for food and snacks, and you should try the Germknödel with vanilla sauce. Salzburg is just an hour away for a side trip if you’re a Mozart fan. We made the most of everything on offer and came home happy.

The service was exceptional, and the hotel itself is beautiful. They were happy to arrange an early check-in and late check-out, which made our one-night stay even nicer. We’ll definitely come back. 10/10.

We spent a week here and ate some of the best meals of the trip. The restaurant is top-notch, and the rooms, lockers, and other facilities all feel new and updated. The lift is right outside the back door, too. The owners and staff were on top of everything. We didn’t need anything during our stay, but whenever we had a request, they handled it with a smile. I’d highly recommend staying here. If I return, this is where I’ll stay.

It’s a nicely sized hotel, not too big, and I’m struggling to find anything negative to say. Food was good, with a choice of meat, fish, or vegetarian each night. The staff were really friendly, and the rooms were good. There’s a sauna, a wellness centre, and an outdoor pool, all of which were good. The hotel is right in the centre of the village, next to the lift and ski shops. Happy customer.
