I like staying in family-run places when I ski in Austria, and I loved the interior here. I had many nice conversations with the owners and even got to see the animals in the nearby barn. Contact by email and digital means was easy. I liked paying by SWIFT (?), so the big credit card companies didn't take a cut. My Galtzig 2 appartment had a surprising view straight toward the St. Anton mountains. I could see the lifts in the distance and the lights of the machines preparing the slopes for the next day. The appartment was big enough for me, with three separate rooms for sleeping and living, the bathroom, and the kitchen. It could have been a little warmer on very cold days, but everything was clean and nice. The location worked well for buses. The no. 9 stop, maybe 70 meters away, ran free four times an hour. Bus no. 7 also stops 400 meters away, by the church in Pettneu, where there's a grocery shop I used since breakfast wasn't included. I downloaded the VVT app and ÖBB (train and all/more) app for more paid options. I loved the ski boot room, where the rack warmed and dried the boots by morning. The ski room by the entrance was convenient, though it could use more ski racks. I heard from other guests that ski repairs were available in a workshop. More information about facilities and recycling rules would have helped. Diana has a nice information center with maps, a bus timetable, and more. Parking was convenient. I wished there had been a kitchen cloth and hand soap, though I could have asked and very likely got them.
