Once we got there, we really enjoyed the apartment. It was clean, comfortable, nicely furnished with modern equipment, and close to the ski bus and slopes. The apartment itself met our expectations and was well maintained. Getting there was much more complicated than it needed to be. Before arrival, I received a lot of long emails full of instructions. One said my payment hadn't arrived, even though I had already paid. Paying wasn't very user-friendly either: I had to enter all the details manually and pay by bank transfer rather than card. I was also asked for a €500 security deposit that hadn't been clearly mentioned during booking. I didn't object to the deposit itself, but they wanted me to email all my credit card details. For security reasons I refused, and after several emails refusing to send them, I was told check-in was only possible between 4 pm and 7 pm. That made me seriously wonder whether the reservation might be a scam. The booking page also promised things like earlier check-in or late check-out for direct bookings, but those options weren't actually available. We enjoyed our stay once we arrived, but the communication beforehand and check-in arrangements made what should have been a pleasant experience unnecessarily difficult.
