Haus Stefin

The place is old, but still good. The views are amazing.

There’s plenty of space and enough rooms here. It’s a top place to stay, though a little dated.

We loved the view toward Kaprun and the Kitzsteinhorn, and had a fantastic family holiday at "Haus Stefin." The house is spacious and in a beautiful spot. It’s a bit dated, but that gives it the typical Austrian feel. We’d happily come back and highly recommend it.

This apartment badly needs renovation. The rooms are laid out terribly, the bathrooms are old, and the house stays cold because the windows are draughty. Some windows won’t open, and others have no curtains. One room was too cold to use. The living room blinds are taped together, with some broken, and the lights are dim or broken. There’s no light in the sauna entrance area, while the motion sensors only switch on the apartment lights after you’ve already walked out of the room. We ended up buying bulbs so we could see our food and play games. The cupboards have 1950s-era pots and pans that can’t be cleaned properly, and only three stove burners work. The “ski room” is just a wooden shed. The cost is outrageous for these conditions, and when we complained about the heating, the landlord’s only response was to turn the ancient, undersized radiators all the way up. That didn’t help.
