The little home has a kitchenette that’s well stocked with everything we needed, and George was very courteous in explaining things, including nearby restaurants, the city, and hiking recommendations. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows weren’t great. The mini home also has AC for summer heat waves, which is a real bonus. It’s a peaceful, quiet countryside spot, with breathtaking views just outside the mini studio. The place is family-owned and the staff are welcoming. Getting there from Innsbruck central station can be a bit hard, though public transport is frequent and easy to access. Walking from the nearby station with bags might be tricky.

We managed to book a room at the last minute, and had a wonderful stay at the Plankenhof hotel. The owner was helpful and informative, and we were able to speak with him in English. Our room was clean and recently renovated, and the beds were very comfortable.

The place is old but gold, with a really interesting interior and a lovely view. The rooms are simple but have character, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but still interesting, with lots of choices. Free parking, too.

A lot of care has gone into this place. It’s family-run in a building dating from the 1500s, with completely renovated modern rooms and all today’s amenities. The public rooms still have the charm and warmth of the past. Breakfast was great, the staff efficient and friendly, and the charming owner, George, went out of his way to make us feel like family. It’s close to Innsbrook, Hall in Tirol, and the Swarovski park. There’s a large free parking area, a beautiful fenced garden, and a hiking trail just across the street.
