Naturparkbauernhof Pöltl

We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment, with one room for us and one for a friend, so we could spend time together and still have privacy. Even in very warm weather, we managed to keep it comfortably cool. The beds were very good, and the people and their animals were friendly. We’d certainly come again.

A good place for yoga.

Every year I look forward to this retreat and to Birgit guiding us through the week so attentively, with her calm, pleasant manner. The days have a lovely mix of rituals, yoga, lessons, even ice swimming, and plenty of time to rest. The farm shop is delightful, the rooms are lovingly furnished, and the peaceful natural surroundings make it a wonderful place to unwind. I always love coming back.

I’ll definitely be back. This beautifully situated Pöltl family farm in Pöllau, in the nature park, was a real gift for an inspiring continuing education course with my favorite yoga teacher. Everything feels welcoming and friendly, and I felt comfortable and well looked after right away. The bright, modern rooms are cozy and full of thoughtful details. Greenery surrounds the farm, with a small stream and woodland nearby, and hardly any traffic, so it’s wonderfully relaxing. They’re also creating swimming ponds. We helped bake bread and tried homemade things, including delicious pear juice. The vegan food was a delight, nourishing for body and soul. There’s so much love in this place, a lovely spot to arrive, breathe deeply, and recharge.
