We wished we could have stayed longer. The pool and spa area were lovely, and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a really wide choice and was tasty too. Service was good in both the restaurant and reception, where the staff were helpful.

We had a room that was clean, well equipped and smelled nice, and the pool and spa area were very good. The restaurant was pleasant, the food tasty, and staff at both the restaurant and reception were kind and helpful. The hours could be extended, at least until 10 pm. We had booked a panoramic mountain view, though, and got only a partial view, with neighbouring balconies in sight. We also reported an issue and the hotel resolved it. Problems can happen anywhere; what matters is how they’re handled. We felt confident that concerns raised with the hotel wouldn’t be forgotten or swept under the carpet, and that the team would do its best to fix things and keep improving. It was a peaceful, well-maintained place to stay. I was there recently for a business trip, and my room was clean and comfortable. I didn't use the spa, but it looked great.

The food was absolutely amazing, and the whole site left me impressed. It feels like a stunning, very well-organised multi-level business, with a setup that looks ready for events of any size. I stayed for a few nights and found the planting across the site crisp and appropriate. The systems for saving and recovering energy are inspiring, and they're trying to balance sustainability with scale. I'm sure that's a challenge. I do think the connection from the hotel and spa to the woodland and surrounding fields could be more fun and obvious. Maybe a garden bridge where you can see the tree crowns, or other ways to bring guests closer to the environment that supports our survival. It's a total wonder. I wish the builders and architects behind the place could retrofit hotels in the UK.
