The lakeside setting is beautiful, and the staff made us feel very welcome and looked after. Some of the decor is a little quirky, but I thought it added to the charm. They charged me twice by mistake, then sorted it out very quickly once I pointed it out.

The birthday girl got a homemade Sachertorte and three sunflowers with breakfast, such a lovely gesture. We were in Pörtschach two weeks ago for two nights to celebrate her 30th, and the whole team made us feel so welcome. They brought our luggage up, our room was spotless, and breakfast had everything we needed. There were also two little bottles of sparkling wine and two mineral waters in the fridge at no charge. They served us roast pork with potatoes and sauerkraut by the lake, where we were stretched out on the loungers. Fresh cakes and juice were available for free too. Even at 11 pm, while we were still on our private beach terrace, they offered us drinks. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Five stars don’t seem enough. We felt at home from the first minute and would happily return. The team were lovely, the hotel was clean throughout, and they were always ready with local advice or answers. You can even arrange for a boat to pick you up at the dock if you want to go somewhere else. The place sits right on Lake Wörthersee and has its own private beach, a peaceful spot to unwind. Stand-up paddleboards and a pedal boat are available whenever you like. Breakfast is a generous buffet on the terrace overlooking the lake. There were homemade cakes every day, plus a carefully prepared snack served with real warmth. The antiques and decor give the hotel a cozy, elegant feel. It was a real highlight for us. Highly recommend.

We had a really comfortable stay and are already looking forward to coming back. The people working here were friendly and helpful, and we can absolutely recommend the hotel.
