We wanted a peaceful brunch stop on the drive from Vienna to Nuremberg, and this was just right. The coffee and brunch choices were delicious, and the service was amazing.

The service is great, and I especially love the soups. Their schnitzel with crispy fries is the best around, too. It’s a real standout for local food, with good meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a daily lunch special that’s always great.

We’d booked a night at the hotel attached to the café before our summer camp, and juice from the buffet was included then. Once camp began, we assumed the buffet was still open to us, but it wasn’t. The juice machine was still on, so we poured two small glasses, about 0.4 liters altogether. Nobody had told us this wasn’t allowed, yet we were charged 8.60€. That’s unacceptable.

It looks fairly ordinary from the street, but inside the atmosphere is nice. We had a family lunch and found a surprisingly broad range of food and drinks, all good to delicious as far as I could tell. Prices seemed fair, too.

The weekend buffet was simple but nice, and the garden setting is pleasant, though it can feel cold. When we visited on 14.04.24, I wondered if we’d arrived too early, but there seemed to be very little on display for the price, so we went elsewhere. It also could have been cleaner. We may try again and report back.
