We were four adults, and the apartment accommodated us very comfortably. The owners were lovely and flexible about our needs, the nights were restful, and the price was reasonable. We had a beautiful view of the village, as the attached photos show. It’s a perfect place for biking, tracking, or simply enjoying nature. One thing to know: bath soap and shampoo aren’t provided, so bring your own. I’d recommend it.

The trail goes right past the house, so in winter we hardly need the car. The ski bus for downhill skiing stops just a few meters away and gets you to Planai, Reiteralm and the other areas in about 20 minutes. There’s also Rittisberg in town. For cross-country skiing, we haven’t found a better spot. We’ve stayed at Haus Sonnengarten every winter for 13 years, but this was our first autumn visit. The Autumn Card made many cable cars and toll roads free, and there are hiking routes everywhere. We’ve already booked all the apartments again, including the extra "Wasser" room, which works well for older kids bringing a friend. Each apartment is modern but has its own character. "Feuer" looks toward the Dachstein on the north side, Erde has balconies on both sides, and "Luft" has a huge balcony terrace. There’s also a small top floor wellness area with a sauna, infrared cabin and a balcony whirlpool overlooking the Dachstein. You can book a time the day before and have it to yourselves. Gudrun and her husband are always around for questions and happy to share ideas for hikes, climbing, ski tours and other outings. The place feels like home, and the location and hosts are both easy to recommend. See you next winter, Gabi and Fred.

We felt welcome right away on our first visit with the Fischbacher family. The "Luft" apartment is modern and really comfortable. We’re already looking forward to coming back and seeing more of this lovely area.

The sauna area is reserved by signing up, so you get to enjoy it on your own. On the balcony there’s a whirlpool with an amazing view of the Dachstein. We’ve now stayed with the Fischbacher family four times, and I’m sure we’ll return. The apartments are modernly furnished, and you can head out by bike in summer, even to the trailheads. In winter, a cross-country track passes right by the house. You arrive and feel at home. Thanks, and best wishes.
