On my third visit in January 2025, the warm welcome from the team was still the main reason Ramsauhof feels like a favourite. Julia remains at the heart of things, and the breakfast and evening buffet teams deserve a mention too. Rooms are spotlessly clean, and everyone, whatever their role, takes time to greet guests kindly. The new light evening buffet for room and suite guests goes well with the beautifully prepared breakfast. Pool hours are now 07:30 to 21:00, with saunas from 14:00 to 21:00, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy them without things getting too busy. The spectacular setting and well-kept spa are still lovely as well. Back in May 2024, I found late spring and early summer in Ramsau just as appealing as the hotel. It now has an on-site restaurant serving fresh, delicious regional food. Julia was still there, and gave me great walking tips for beautiful, quieter spots with peaceful views. The hotel was in great shape, with clean rooms, an immaculate spa, and a pool with a wonderful view. If you haven’t tried Styria, visit Ramsauhof. I first wrote about it in January 2024: a peaceful, beautiful group of buildings run by a small, friendly team. There’s a clean, well-kept little spa, and walking and Langlauf tracks start right outside. Ramsau Ort is a 15-minute walk away. Breakfast is lovely, especially with the view, and they can help with dinner reservations.

After skiing, the pool, saunas and relaxation areas were a real treat. It’s good value, and Schladming is a 15-minute drive away. I’d be curious to see what it’s like in summer.
