The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the spa, food, and atmosphere were all great. We had a fantastic stay with 16 people. There’s plenty of space here for seminars or family get-togethers. I’d love to come back with my family, hike nearby, then spend the afternoon relaxing in the pool.

There’s lots of parking around the building, and plenty of meeting rooms in different sizes. It’s a lovely villa hotel in a beautiful hilly setting, well kept and suited to both wellness and conferences. The rooms are clean, though a little dated. Food and service were excellent.

The dinner service was the worst part of what was probably the worst hotel stay we’ve had in years. We booked half-board and weren’t told that on some evenings, depending on how many guests there are, dinner is à la carte. The waiters seemed to treat the job as a part-time gig, struggled with simple requests, and blamed everything on the chef. The food was mediocre and undercooked, and the whole meal just left us stressed. I felt as if we were on a hidden-camera show. It’s hard to understand the excellent reviews when other guests have apparently been complaining about dinner service for months, here and on booking, without anything changing. The receptionist/manager seemed exhausted and overworked, too. The building is beautiful, and you can feel that it was once a great hotel, but now it seems to be living on its past reputation. The rooms are dated, not very clean, and have no fridge or minibar or room service. Breakfast was very good and the service there was okay, though breakfast and dinner are served in an old ballroom that isn’t ventilated. The spa was okay, but nothing special. To me, this isn’t a 4* hotel, and it feels like they charge too much for an illusion. I hope this helps anyone considering a reservation. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Traveling with my dog, I found this to be a peaceful, luxurious place, with real comfort for both of us. The views of the mountains were stunning even in the rain, and my pet’s comfort and happiness were a special joy. The authentic food, spa treatments, Austrian feel, and attentive service all fit beautifully with the old aristocratic character. Highly recommended!!!

The staff were very kind and attentive, but finding any relaxation in the wellness area was impossible. The pool, wellness spaces, and even the sauna were packed with loud groups of children, leaving no peace for the other guests. It’s a historic building, though some of the facilities could use a makeover.
