Landhaus Blauer Spatz Reichenau an der Rax

We stayed in the "Top 1" apartment for a week and it was so pleasant and spacious, and so superbly equipped, that we had to make ourselves go outside each morning. I’d definitely recommend it as a base for skiing or hiking.

We spent almost two weeks in a lovely apartment with our three children, aged 5, 10, and 12. The house has large holiday apartments in a small, quiet town about an hour’s drive from Vienna. There are two towns called Reichenau in Austria, so make sure you’re looking for "Reichenau an der Rax". It’s less visited by tourists from abroad than places like Tirol and Salzburg, and prices are lower. There are hiking areas, a cable car, alpine slides, parks, and swimming pools nearby. Vienna is also just a little more than an hour away by car, with plenty to see there.

A small garden with a sauna cabin, a nearby grocery store, and parking either in the yard or on the street. It’s a comfortable guesthouse close to nature, and great value for the price.

The apartment was very well equipped, and the old style of the surroundings is cute. Just keep in mind it’s an old house, so it may feel a bit noisy and squeaky. Don’t expect a modern place.
