Reither Almen

The pool was a real highlight, large and always clean, and breakfast was served in the mornings. This is the most beautiful vacation apartment we've ever stayed in, with nothing negative to report. Set above Reith, it's wonderfully quiet and a great place to relax. We'd definitely come back.

We spent a week each in Gustl's cabin on the ground floor and the mill on the first floor, and we'd happily book both again. The apartments were wonderfully rustic and had everything we needed. The landlords were super nice and always there when we needed something. After a strenuous hike, the clean, tidy pool was the highlight, and towels were provided for it. A fantastic vacation all around. We'd love to come back anytime.

The property is beautiful, with a lovely garden and a great pool. The host family seemed lovely, though we didn't get to know them well. But the apartment was so cold in June that it spoiled part of our stay. Central heating was off, and there was one portable heater for all the rooms. The living room was bearable at the table by the heater, but the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen were freezing. The bedroom might have been okay with enough blankets. We had two pool weather days and three drizzly ones. I suspect it stays very cold indoors even in midsummer, though then you'd spend more time outside. Extra blankets are definitely needed, even for relaxing on a lounger outside. The apartment was also very noisy: when the upstairs neighbors opened or slid their doors, it sounded as if they were right next to us.

We've been to Reither Almen three times now and always love returning. Those lovingly designed wooden cabins give the place a rustic feel, and the owner's service is personal and attentive. For a ski vacation, it's a charming change from a standard hotel room.
