A spacious apartment in a great spot, and good value.

I agree with the other reviews. The apartment has not been clean on my last few visits. There were balls of dust on the floor, the sofa was so stained I didn’t want to sit on it, and the dishes weren’t properly washed. It also badly needs renovation, which is a shame. I can’t recommend it, especially because of the cleanliness.

The apartment is large and well located, with lots of appealing hiking trails nearby, and the landlady was friendly. But its condition was disappointing. The furnishings were extremely basic, and one bedroom didn’t even have a bedside lamp, so I had to use a flashlight to read. Cleanliness was poor too. The sofa, floor, and other surfaces urgently need replacing because they’re disgusting. There were loose boards on the run-down balcony floor and hairballs in the towels. The old feather beds and duvets were dusty and not suitable for allergy sufferers.

The location and the apartment itself could be fantastic, especially with the garden out front, but the place urgently needs renovation. It smells damp and musty, like an old basement, and there’s mold across the wooden ceiling and bathroom tiles. When I mentioned it, the owner said she knew about it and didn’t seem concerned or explain further. I also found hairs from previous guests in the beds. The couch is so unpleasant you wouldn’t want to sit on it. I can’t understand why they rent a place with mold when it’s harmful. Even the broken shower heads are apparently fixed with tape, though replacing them would take five minutes and cost only a few euros at a hardware store.
