We felt looked after the whole time and can't wait to return. The hotel made travelling with a dog completely stress free, and it's clearly set up for dogs, not just tolerant of them. There's a fenced dog playground, a free wash and drying room, and blankets by the restaurant entrance for dogs to lie on. Even little details made us feel they were truly welcome. Dogs could also join us by the outdoor pool. The staff were a real highlight. Everyone we dealt with, from reception and the bar to the restaurant and room service, was extremely kind, friendly and understanding. The room was kept especially clean, with daily floor cleaning, fresh bed sheets and the dog bed cleaned. Cleanliness is clearly a high priority, even with around 70 dogs staying during our visit. Food was amazing every evening, with a remarkable range at both the buffet dinner and the four course meal. The menus had options for vegetarians, meat lovers and fish lovers. The wellness options were very nice too, with massages and cosmetic treatments, a pleasant sauna area and a small indoor pool leading to a larger outdoor one, where dogs were welcome. The surroundings are ideal for anyone who loves being outdoors. Hiking trails are everywhere, cycling options seem endless, and bikes and dog trailers are available at the hotel. A quiet day walk and picnic are good options too. In winter, it's a suitable base for skiing, especially with the hotel's dog sitting service. A favorite experience was the wine tasting in the wine cellar with Senior Chef Gottfried. We tried various Austrian wines and heard lots of interesting stories and information. It was in German, so I'm not sure whether it's offered in English.

The hotel is a paradise for dog people, with dogs welcome everywhere, even beside the outdoor pool. It's set up with bowls in the rooms and around the hotel, blankets at dining areas, towels at the entrance, shower and drying facilities, and an agility playground with a shallow pool whose water is changed every day. There's also a garden pond where dogs can take a dip. The food is great, and each morning they share hiking suggestions and the day's program. A few things brought my rating down from five stars. There were flies throughout the hotel, including around the dinner table, and they sometimes spoiled my appetite. I think the hotel should do more to keep them out instead of accepting them. Everything was in German, so I felt like the only foreign guest. That also meant I might miss programs such as the vet and dog trainer seminars, as well as the daily tips. There was no air conditioning in the room, and the building seems designed to hold heat, which made sleeping very difficult on hot days. Maybe another season would be better. I'm really glad this hotel exists. It's a dog and dog-mom paradise.

My dog and I felt right at home here. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were helpful and so friendly. The restaurant served good food with lots of choices, and our large, comfortable room had a beautiful mountain view. Wi-Fi worked well throughout the property. The pool was lovely, with warm, clean water and a great view, and there was a good Sauna Land. We also got lots of little gifts from the hotel. A beautiful place and an excellent stay. I absolutely recommend Magdalena!

A real paradise for dog lovers, with activities planned every day for you and your dog. The staff are super friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. Shout-out to the lovely cooks. I'll definitely be back.
