Hotel Rietzer Hof

The rooms and bathrooms were large and very good for a four-star hotel. Ours had a luxurious bathroom, comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi that was slow but worked, and a huge plasma screen. Breakfast was a bit poor, though it depended on who was in the kitchen that morning. The restaurant was good, but dinner at restaurants in Innsbruck was a better deal. We were there for a short vacation week. This family-run hotel usually serves installation crews from the nearby furniture factory, but it also has some large family rooms. We arrived on a banking holiday while the owner had gone to the hospital for his grandson’s birth. No one was there when we arrived, so I tried the back door and found a friendly note and a key to our room. The family-run place had friendly service.

Reception was very kind. The hotel has a great restaurant and bar.

We stopped at this very nice hotel during a long journey. We weren’t sure what there was to do nearby, but it suited our needs perfectly.

The rooms were nice, but there was no service and no restaurant. We had to phone, and even then they just talked us through where the keys were. This was on a Friday night.
