The apartment is all wood inside and stayed lovely and warm in winter. It had everything we needed for cooking and baking, and fresh bakery goods could be brought right to the door the next morning. The family were kind and very helpful. When we arrived, we talked through possible outings and got some useful suggestions, even though we already had plans. The farm has cows, bulls, and calves, and families are welcome to come to the barn at 5:30 p.m. for the evening feeding. After the first visit, the kids made sure we got there on time the next day, and we all had a lot of fun. We usually come in winter during school holidays, so there’s plenty to plan. We went hiking and sledding, visited the sensory museum, and went swimming, all in Rohrbach or nearby. Český Krumlov is also about an hour away by car and well worth considering. We’ll definitely return, this time in summer.

The apartment was just right, and getting fresh bread delivered each day was a lovely extra. We had a great week here. The owners were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, while the courtyard gave the kids room to play and the adults a chance to unwind. There’s plenty to do in the area, too. We especially loved the evenings together, whether we were grilling, sitting by a campfire, or playing board games. We’d be happy to come back.

Anneliese, the heart of the farm, made us feel at home again with barbecue, campfire bread, time with the cats, and a hand for our boys as they did their barn chores. It was only a short stay, but such a lovely one, with fantastic hosts. We felt so comfortable and will definitely return. Thank you!

We can always just slow down and enjoy life on and around the farm, or head out to the many lovely places nearby. The holiday apartments are wonderful, and the host family makes us feel warmly welcomed. This farm has been our dream holiday destination for years.
