In August 2021 we booked this comfortable, roomy apartment through AirBnB. Hallstadt was our main destination, but we added the trip to our European road trip at the last minute, when the rooms still available there were outrageously expensive. From here, Hallstadt was an easy drive. We spent a day exploring the town and nearby area, including a trip up to 5 Fingers, then used the next day to explore the mountains behind and across from the Airbnb, going by cablecar. The hosts were pleasant and there when we needed help or advice.

We rented two apartments for our Christmas 2018 winter holiday, with two families of four. The landlord was always keen to help, and the location opposite the valley run is fantastic. Russbach is a nice little spot, and the apartments worked okay for a ski trip. The apartments were small and clean, though not really suited to four people. Only one had a proper bed, while the rest of us had sofa beds at best. There was no toaster or oven either, and the hot water wasn't enough for eight people to warm up after a clear day of skiing.
