The quiet setting made this feel like a real retreat, ideal for a romantic break or a digital detox. Just plan your dinner ahead and bring toiletries, as the remote location has no restaurants nearby. My wife and I stayed at Hotel Landhaus Ausswinkl for our August 9-10 getaway, and we’re already hoping to return. The room was spotless and had a cozy Alpine feel. After an early walk, breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. Around the grounds, you can stroll down to the picturesque river, with panoramic views all around. The morning air was crisp, and the surroundings were breathtaking. It felt like a fairytale, in a cool and refreshing setting. Greetings from Indonesia.

The outdoor pool was my favorite part, swimming with the mountains all around felt special and relaxing. There’s a spa area too, which was just right for unwinding after a long walk. The room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable bed and an amazing view from the window. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, and the people working there were friendly, smiling, and ready to help when we needed anything. We enjoyed the food too. A lovely place to relax in nature. I hope to come back someday!

We arrived in Russbach late on a stormy European evening, a family of 11 with two dogs, and couldn’t find anywhere to eat. The owner of Hotel Landhaus Ausswinkl kindly made pizza for us. Our kids called it “the best pizza.” We all had a really pleasant evening. The owner and hotel team were great. Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰

The hotel manager is brilliant, and we enjoyed the food and the bedrooms. It’s well placed, with the ski lifts nearby and a bus stop opposite if you want to go farther. The village center and bars serving food are close as well. Its proximity to the airport also helps keep transfer times down.

We’ll miss this charming little hotel. The host was really friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and reasonably priced. A very nice place.
