The staff are what really make Hotel Auwirt stand out. Everyone was friendly, professional, and attentive, from check-in through the useful recommendations during our stay. They were happy to help with any request and made me feel valued. It’s clear they take customer satisfaction seriously and care about giving good service. The rooms were cozy, very clean, and beautifully designed, a relaxing place to come back to after time in the mountains. Hotel Auwirt also combines traditional Alpine charm with modern comfort, and its location makes it easy to reach the ski areas and local attractions while still feeling Austrian and welcoming. Our stay in Saalbach exceeded all expectations. I’d gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

The hotel staff were so kind and helpful, and they went out of their way to accommodate the menu items we asked for. We loved the food at both breakfast and dinner. Saalbach is right on the doorstep, with the lifts, ski rentals and town centre all close by. We'd happily recommend a stay here.

There’s a small bar and a sauna, and the hotel is about three minutes from the nearest ski lift. The road out front can get a bit busy. Nice place.

The beds could’ve been more comfortable, but otherwise the hotel was nice and clean. It’s very close to both the town centre and the ski lifts, which was the best part for us.

The one thing missing for me was a jacuzzi in the small wellness area. I think they could find room for one. The hotel doesn’t have the traditional Tyrolean charm you often get at bigger places, but for the price we were impressed in every other way. It’s a lovely, modern hotel at the lower end of town, just 100 metres from the schattberg xpress gondola. All the staff were superb, especially young Jack, the fantastic barman from Sweden. We’d definitely come back, and it’s great that they allow short breaks instead of requiring a week-long stay like most ski resort hotels.
