Unterlettlhof

We stayed in a lovely one-bedroom apartment under the roof, with beautiful views of the mountains. The accommodation is on an organic farm in the village of AlmDorf, not far from Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer. The hosts were pleasant and helpful, and speak German and English. When the microwave was missing, the landlady promptly brought her own. We came for a winter holiday around New Year. There are wonderful ski areas toward Leogang, Saalbach, and Hochkönig, with lots of options for downhill, alpine, and cross-country skiing. We'd be happy to return, including in summer, when there are opportunities for hiking and cycling.

A comfortable place in the quiet Austrian countryside, just outside Saalfeld, with stunning mountain views. We highly recommend it for families, friends holidaying together, or couples looking for a peaceful retreat. It's a family-run guest house in a historic building dating from 1613. We'll definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay in early March 2022. The area is quiet, with the occasional pleasant sound of cows. Maria Alm's center is five minutes away by car and is great for skiing. The apartments are nice and clean, with good beds and a lovely mountain view.

There are lots of walking and cycling paths, and plenty of attractions within a half-hour to two-hour drive, including Zell am See, Leogang, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Hallstatt, and lots of gorges. The host speaks English, and she and her family are very friendly. It's an old house with modern updates and a cattle barn beside it. The cows' sounds made my kid happy. The rooms are clean, there are all the appliances we needed, and the location is great. Thumbs up!
