Alpenhotel St.Christoph

Families with kids will find this a great all round option. We liked having a spacious room where several children could stay with us, and the location was excellent. The kids could use the spa during certain hours and enjoyed it. It was also handy to leave rental skis at the hotel instead of taking them back to the store. The food was good, though for the price I expected more. The afternoon buffet was limited. Service was mixed: some staff were warm and attentive, while others seemed like they didn’t really want to be there.

The team’s five star service made us feel as if they anticipated every wish. We were also blown away by the five course gourmet dinner each night, and loved the fireplace lounge and restaurant with their beautiful decor. Every window looks out on a breathtaking alpine panorama. The spacious spa impressed us too, with varied saunas, crystal installations and very comfortable loungers facing the mountains. A wonderful, luxurious stay, and we can’t wait to return.

Getting around for activities was easy, with ski lessons for beginners and advanced skiers, fair priced rentals, and buses or shuttles to travel around Saint Alpen. Dinner had lots of variety, and there’s a wonderful menu to look at if you want something extra. The food was amazing. The owner was very generous, and every staff member was sweet, kind and helpful. The cleaning staff kept the rooms clean while respecting our privacy and belongings. You should visit at least once for this beautiful experience.

The kitchen could use some improvement: breakfast didn’t have a very big selection, while lunch and dinner were okay. I’d give the kitchen 4/5, but would recommend the place overall.
