Hotel Kertess

The bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and the waiters were great and funny. A bus stops outside every 10 minutes. But the ski room was much too small for all the gear, and you could hear everything happening in the hallway from the room. The shower temperature kept changing, the water pressure was low, and the pool was far too cold. Parking cost 15 euros per car per day, and you had to leave the car 2 km from the hotel. Christmas dinner was an extra 90 per person.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel needs renovation, particularly the outdated pool and spa. The steam room barely produces steam, is only warm, and has an unpleasant smell. The shower in our room had very low pressure, and breakfast was acceptable but needs better quality and more variety. The hotel sits on a steep slope, far from the center, and parking is even farther uphill near the pedestrian bridge, which makes getting around inconvenient. For the same price, there are better choices in the center.

If you just want a place to sleep and ski for a below-average price, with a reasonable breakfast, it's not bad. But don't come for the sauna or pool. This is an old hotel with very low-grade facilities, and the facilities feel very fungusy. The outdated condition is striking, and reviews from eight years ago still apply in full if you sort by stars. Definitely not a wellness hotel.

Warm rooms and a good location. The rooms have separate toilets and sleep four. Staff are helpful, and breakfast and dinner are available. I'd come back.
