Bühlhofer

The outdoor area was a huge paradise for the children, and we found plenty of nearby outings: Wenigzell barefoot path, Mönichwald swimming pond, and Scheibenbauer alpine pond. My grandchildren, aged 9 and 7, and I stayed in the Kaminzauber cabin for the last week of our school holidays. It was roomy, cozy, clean, and very quiet, with comfortable beds. Though secluded, it's easy to reach, and there are lots of excursion and hiking options. Mrs. Rosa Grabenhofer was glad to offer advice. She's a friendly, relaxed, child-loving hostess, and we had interesting conversations with her. On request she also arranged our meals, either breakfast or half-board at the farmhouse, with wonderfully fresh regional food. It was a truly relaxing stay!

The reservation issue made arrival a little awkward, and we had been somewhat skeptical about bringing our dog. Ms. Rosi sorted everything out wonderfully, was available nearly all the time, and gave us great hiking tips. We felt comfortable, ate excellent food, and went home smiling and well rested. The area is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are simple but cozy. We came at the end of June 2019 with a first-grade class of 26 ten-year-olds. Mrs. Rosi treated us to wonderful home-cooked meals, and her warm personality helped the children feel right at home.

The Grabenhofer family were incredibly hospitable. We had a bright, south-facing vacation apartment in a private house, generously equipped and with a magnificent view over the countryside. Half-board is available at the nearby farm, where they serve traditional Austrian food. This was pure relaxation.
