You can leave the car behind once you arrive if you want. There are plenty of walking trails from town, plus a natural climbing rock nearby, riverside walks, and tougher hikes reaching up to 3k asl. St Jakob and its people feel like a dream for families and hiking lovers. Claudio and his mum welcomed us with genuine smiles and helped us throughout our stay. The resort was perfect in every detail, with plenty of room for different needs, an amazing spa, and a dreamlike view from the window. Thanks, and see you soon!

We could walk to shops, restaurants, and a bar, and start outdoor activities right from the hotel. From our balcony we looked straight over to a nearby cow pasture. Our double room was larger than rooms we’ve had at other hotels, and it was clean and well maintained, like the rest of the property. The resort has several buildings, plus a lovely spa, outdoor pool, mini golf, and playground. Breakfast was prepared fresh each morning by the owner, with a good selection of regional products. The owners and staff were friendly, approachable, and accommodating, and the whole place had a personal, family feel. We were there for five nights as a couple with a dog in a quiet, idyllic village surrounded by nature, and felt very comfortable. We highly recommend it.

The location is right among the mountains, with a supermarket and bank just around the corner. You can head straight into the mountains for a hike or set off on a lovely bike ride from the resort. There’s plenty to do on site too, including a swimming pool, several saunas, a football field, mini golf, and table tennis. We traveled as a couple with a small dog, and the owners were incredibly friendly. The rooms and property were spotless, and even the balcony had been cleaned down to the last detail. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back.

I got a room at short notice while passing through on my motorcycle. The house is beautiful and well maintained, and my room was spotless. Breakfast had regional products and eggs cooked fresh to order, with nothing left wanting. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the pool. I’d gladly return, maybe for longer next time.
