The lake’s water was clean and warm, though there was mud on the bottom. Getting to swim there was the drawback: you can only use section XV, less than an hour’s walk away, since access elsewhere is private apart from one section. The apartment is in a quiet spot and has enough equipment, though the furniture is a little old. Children have plenty to do, including a trampoline, pool, sandpit, slide, and ping-pong table. Spar is about 200 metres away, and Billa is close too.

Six years on, this still feels like our second home. We’ll be back!
