Hotel Wiese

The owners did everything they could to make us happy and comfortable, and Huttendurf is somewhere I’d love to return to. We visited during the first week of October 17 and stayed in the smallest cabin. It was amazing, warm, cozy, and just right for a couple. The kitchen, bathroom, living room, and balconies were all well equipped, with nothing missing. The pool and sauna were fantastic. Even with the weather outside extremely cold, the heated pool kept us warm, and the brand-new sauna cabin was relaxing. I’d never had a breakfast like the one at Huttendorf: each day we filled in a form with our choices, and breakfast was delivered right to the door. The cleaning was excellent, with the room cleaned daily, which helped us feel fully on vacation. The Pitztal Valley, and St Leonard in particular, were beautiful. Each Tirol valley has its own kind of beauty, but we especially liked this one. The cabin is in a quiet area, with hiking trials a short distance away and a small river five minutes’ walk away. The view from the balcony was gorgeous, and we often saw horses from there. A lovely place to come back to :)

We stopped at Gasthof Wiese for lunch. Some dishes were fine, but the onion in our soup was burned. When we complained, the answer was rude and ridiculous: they said burned onion wasn’t a big issue. Later, another staff member was rude again when refusing our credit card payment, and didn’t apologize for the problem with their payment terminal.

The pizza was excellent, and we liked the hotel’s setting. Staff were friendly and the service was very good. Just be aware, it’s cash only unless you’re a resident.

The amenities were nice, including the sauna and swimming pool. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. A great place to stay, highly recommended!
