We stopped here for a meal while traveling through Austria, and it’d also be a great choice when visiting the Flachau area. Service was friendly and fast, and my spinach dumplings were delicious.

The calm here doesn’t come from a packed schedule of spa activities. It comes from leaving out the things that make noise. There are no options pushed at you, no flute samples or scented slogans, just deliberate, complete quiet. The adults-only space feels like a small victory. Nothing beeps or shouts. You’re left with your own thoughts and, now and then, the sound of warm water shifting as someone eases their stress away. The infinity jacuzzi is part of that feeling, not a photo prop. Its design frames the mountains like a meditation. You can lean back in the warmth and let the alpine horizon give your thoughts a place to stop. Breakfast brings another kind of care. The spread is generous but not overdone: vegetables, grains, cheeses and bread still warm from the oven, rather than waffle towers or dry cereal dispensers. Look in the discreet drawers and beneath the counters and you’ll find fermented foods, from fibre-rich pickled roots to cultured yoghurts and slow-made krauts. They don’t make a fuss about them, but you notice you feel better. The local fish is simple and assured, a taste of water and patience. The staff are friendly without putting on a show, and present without hovering. They seem to understand that you came for some space, and leave you feeling better than when you arrived. I’d highly recommend it if you’re tired of novelty and noise, and want to see what warm water and a mountain view can do for your sense of belief.

We stayed here in June 2025. It’s a lovely guesthouse in a fantastic spot, and good value for money. Breakfast is worth paying for, especially the really good omelette. Dogs are welcome, with no extra charge.

The rooms were spacious and pleasant, and the staff friendly. Breakfast was good, with eggs made fresh to order, and the restaurant is worth trying for dinner. It has a typical Austrian feel. There’s a fairly busy road in front of the hotel, though traffic is limited at night. The pillows are very soft.
