The food was a highlight every night, all home cooked, and the desserts were amazing. There were plenty of drinks and wines to choose from, and the owner sat with us to explain the menu. She even invited us into the kitchen to see how everything was prepared. Her hospitality was faultless, and you can tell she really cares about the guests and the business. She went out of her way for us throughout the stay. I was there on business for the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and this traditional Austrian, family-run hotel made the trip feel special. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. My cosy, traditionally styled room looked out over the lovely garden and seating area, and it was always cleaned to a high standard. It’s in a nice little village with a bank and other amenities. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and this one is among the nicest. I took a few business cards because I can’t wait to come back with my girlfriend and show her what a great time I had. 10/10. Amazing!

The staff were professional, helpful, and really warm. Ilse, the owner, speaks very good English and has such a family-like way with guests that it felt more like visiting friends than eating at a restaurant. The place is decorated with a lot of taste, with little touches that reflect the family tradition. The cuisine is wonderful, built around local, seasonal products. It’s a great chance to try real traditional Styrian food, and every dish we had was delicious. One of the best restaurants around!
