Appartement Unterbering

Our kids loved it here! The apartment was clean, nice, and had everything we needed. There’s fresh milk for free, plus a bread service, and the people are really friendly. It’s also close to Söll and Scheffau, with a bus stop almost right outside.

Monica is a wonderful host. She’s around if you need anything, but gives you privacy otherwise, and her kindness really added to our stay. Apartment Unterbering sits between Scheffau and Söll, on the ground floor of a traditional, fairly new Austrian house. It’s clean, roomy, and nicely heated. We were there with a one-year-old and a five-year-old, and Monica had arranged special beds, toys, cutlery, and lots of useful basics like pepper, salt, dishwasher fluid, and toilet paper. It’s a well-equipped place, with an oven, dishwasher, microwave, nice shower, separate bedroom, and a couch that converts into a bed. The WiFi is great and free. We could park in a reserved spot under the carport, which was handy on cold winter nights, and there’s a heated ski boot system. The house is on an active farm, though you hardly notice it apart from the equipment and the cows you can hear late in the afternoon. We were invited to see the animals, including cows and chickens, but couldn’t fit that in around skiing and relaxing. Fresh cow’s milk is free, and fresh eggs are available for a small price, pocket money for the kids. The main Brandstadl ski lift in Scheffau is a 2.5 km drive away. There’s a supermarket in Söll about the same distance, and a couple of nice restaurants roughly 1 km away in both directions. It was a perfect stay for us at a very reasonable price. If you’re after après-ski or a town centre, this may not be the right place, but we’d definitely come back. Thanks for a great stay, Krall family, and especially Moni(ca)!

The flat is well equipped and sits in a handy spot between Söll and Scheffau. Our host was super friendly.

A fantastic host! Highly recommend 👏
