We had a balcony looking out across the valley, and the room itself was a good size, with a very comfortable bed and a modern, clean bathroom. The food was excellent, with lots of choice and lovely presentation. The whole hotel feels warm, and the Christmas and winter decorations make it a wonderland for adults and children. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. This is the best hotel we've ever stayed at. I can't recommend it enough, you really have to stay!

(Two adults and a baby, one night) I wouldn't recommend staying here because the pricing isn't transparent. They charged 28 euros for a dog and 30 euros for a one-year-old, even though no baby bed or third bed was provided or needed. So even if you bring your own travel cot, you'll still pay 30 euros. The “free” Wi-Fi cost 5 euros, and the playground was 10 euros per person per day.

We were given a room above the restaurant, and it reeked of smoke from guests smoking there. We were only staying one night, but this isn't how you treat guests if you want them to return. The Booking.com listing was misleading too: we had to pay for the outdoor play area, which seemed ridiculous since we thought it was part of the experience. Really bad hotel. I don't recommend it.

The owner was extremely rude, and the place felt like a 2-star hotel. This was the worst accommodation I've ever experienced, definitely not somewhere for a pleasant stay.

My room at Hotel Berghof was clean and well cared for, with thoughtful design, comfortable amenities and a cozy feel. The rooms made the stay feel like a home away from home. Reception were warm and welcoming, attentive to what I needed, and helpful with suggestions for local attractions. Hotel Berghof exceeded my expectations. A delightful stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, hospitable place to stay.
