Alpenchalets Reiteralm by ALPS RESORTS

The view was lovely and the place was very clean. I had a really good stay at Alpenchalets Reiteralm, though I wouldn't suggest it for families with small kids. Getting up the mountain also means driving carefully for around 10 minutes.

The main letdown was the lack of service and how the place had been cleaned. Nobody was there to help us check in, and we didn't get any information beforehand. The homes weren't as clean as they should be either: used dishes, hair on the floor, and a terrible smell from the sink. We also had to bring basics like soap and a hair dryer ourselves. The building and furniture are good quality, and the kitchen is well equipped. Parking is available. These are high-end homes for summer and winter stays, but the service didn't match.

The chalets are beautiful and I’d absolutely recommend them. One thing could be clearer, though: dogs are allowed at some of the houses, but the description for each chalet doesn’t say whether dogs are welcome. It would’ve helped to have that information before booking.

I had to head back down to the valley the next morning because check-in is there, and I hadn’t seen that on my reservation. The living room has an amazing view of Dachstein, and everything was clean and comfortable.
