The views are lovely, especially at night: one side has a terrace looking into the forest, while the balcony on the other side faces the inhabited mountains and the Dachstein. It’s a large, beautiful house, around a 10-minute drive from the charming town of Schladming and its shops. The cable car is about 10 minutes away too.

You can head out for fantastic hikes here in summer, and the sauna looks out toward the Dachstein. In winter, the ski bus stop is just around the corner and gets you to the slopes in 10 minutes. A dream of a place in the countryside!

There was a great selection of food, and the portions were very generous. It was excellent, and I’d happily come back.
