The apartment itself is nice and conveniently located, and we chose it for its Austrian feel and because it was marginally closer to the slopes than Base Camp. We really wish we'd chosen Base Camp instead. The host was the worst I've experienced and ruined our time in Reiteralm. We later saw marjo Bosch's review and realized it was similar to what happened to us. From the start, the woman running the property was horrible and unwelcoming, and she got worse during our two-week stay. There were no laundry facilities or basic cleaning products to keep the unit clean for that long. Condensation from the windows kept the carpet wet and caused mould on the woodwork. The host blamed us for the mould at the end, even though it had been there from the outset. This woman ruined our holiday. It was so stressful!

The kitchen is fully equipped, and fresh bread and other things are delivered every day. To ski from here, you just walk around a house and across a parking lot from the slope. That means you can leave the car and bus alone.

The apartments were nice and clean, and the location was great. We booked three, but the sofa bed was uncomfortable. The owner was awful: he didn't welcome anyone or say a nice word, and he yelled at the children for going into the ski room with snow on their ski boots. He kept checking whether we were wearing slippers. We'll never go back!

There are several comfortable apartments, with room for up to six people, and the location near the ski lift is ideal. I just wish there were a sauna, which would have made it perfect after a long day skiing.
