Hinkerhof

A very nice place for families with kids, with fun and interesting activities for them. Our room was clean and spacious, and the service was very good.

The owners are wonderful, kind people who are always ready to help, and the whole place has a relaxed, family feel. Breakfasts were delicious, with local homemade food. The rooms were very clean and cleaned every day, and the sauna and wellness area were clean and well set up. They even let us use it before the official access hours when we got back from skiing early. The house is just 2 km from the main ski lift, Planai, and the city center. To me, it's a lovely mix of luxury hotel service and a casual atmosphere.

The rooms were much bigger, cleaner, and more modern than they looked in the pictures. The showers were great, and the wellness area was really nice, with a regular sauna, an infrared sauna, and a hammam.

The owners treated us so warmly and were very friendly. As soon as you arrive, it feels like the whole family is welcoming you. They also provide lots of flyers, magazines, and printed information to help you make the most of your holiday. The bus to Planai leaves from right outside the building and goes to the gondola every 30 minutes. Rooms are basic but have everything you need, and they're cleaned daily. Breakfast is self-service, plentiful, and varied. There's also a lovely little wellness area with a Finnish sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, resting room, and shower. They provide free tea, towels, and shoes there. We felt very comfortable here. The downside is that there aren't any restaurants nearby, and the property only offers sandwiches and pizza during the day. Schladming is a 30-minute walk away, and you can easily head into the village.
