We had a fantastic stay at Panorama Lodge, and the region is so lovely that we might come back. The two bedrooms were a real help with the kids: once they were asleep, we could move around without sneaking through their room. The apartment was spacious and very well equipped, and the underground parking was a big plus with all the snowfall during our visit. With plenty of snow, you can ski in and out. If there’s less, the slope is still close, about a five-minute walk with your skis. Just be aware that the run beside the house is red, so novice skiers may struggle to get down to the gondola on their own. It’s also quite low, which can make it tricky for some people late in the day or when temperatures are higher. We may return, unless we decide to explore somewhere new.

The terrace was a highlight, with a great view of the Dachstein glacier. It’s also an easy walk into Schladming, and parking is right outside the building. Inside, the apartment was very clean and the kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we needed. We had a very good stay.

Schladming is a charming city, and this hotel has one of the best locations I’ve come across as a super Google user. I’d book it without a second thought.

We were charged €150 at the end of our stay, supposedly because the room was dirty. The evidence they sent showed almost nothing, so the charge felt unfair. The yard isn’t private, it’s open to the neighbors, and the parking was much too small, which made things uncomfortable for us. The hotel view wasn’t anything special either, and there are much prettier places nearby. I can’t recommend staying here, and would tell others to look elsewhere.
