We were woken at 5AM every morning of our 7 night stay by the host’s children running through the house. The host made it feel as though it was our fault for not knowing what children are like. I’m surprised other reviews haven’t mentioned this, since this is exactly what the review process is for. Until they adapt their business to account for their growing kids, we recommend avoiding Schieplechnerhof.

The archery course was fantastic and an absolute must-try. We also enjoyed experiencing daily life on the farm, especially the fresh eggs. The young host family welcomed us warmly, and with the magnificent Dachstein view and so many ways to explore the area, it was a great place for a vacation. We definitely want to return. Until then, all the best to the young family.

The Knaus family have made this such an idyllic spot, and it’s a great base for hikes and bike rides. We had a really restful stay and would love to come back sometime. Thanks for the warm welcome.

We rented the top floor apartment, which had a balcony and kitchenette, and the owners were hospitable. The scenery was beautiful even when the weather was bad. We were also allowed to use the archery range once as guests, and that was really fun.
