The pension is a few kilometers from Schladming city centre, set apart from it, with a nice mountain view. You can also walk from Schladming along a beautiful 3 km riverside trail. The rooms are quite spacious, breakfast is tasty with plenty of variety, and the host was nice and helpful. There’s a covered parking space, especially useful in winter, plus a ski room.

There were activities every day, including horse riding, family hikes, and tractor tours for kids. The staff were very friendly and supportive, and the breakfast had a great range of choices. We also enjoyed a BBQ evening with well-prepared vegetables, different meats and sausages, and about 5 desserts, so there was something for every taste and age. Our family room was a little small, but it was cleaned daily. We had a very pleasant stay.

The hotel felt rather old, and the staff seemed a little odd. Breakfast was okay, but for what you get, it was basically too expensive. The sauna was only on from 4 to 7 pm and had no relaxation area. We asked for it to be turned on the next morning, but they wouldn’t do it.
