Landhaus Grüt

Inge was a wonderful host, and her restaurant suggestions were especially good. The apartment feels very cozy and thoughtfully decorated. It’s centrally placed, about five minutes walking to Schruns center and ten minutes to the ski lift.

Schruns made a great base for seeing the region. There’s a train stop in town and buses to nearby villages, while summer lifts take you up for hiking and biking. It’s a beautiful part of Austria, well suited to outdoor visitors. We stayed at Landhaus Grut with our four-year-old son and found the apartment clean, spacious, and well equipped, including the kitchen; the bathrooms were spotless and the shower had strong hot water. The house has a lovely yard with fruit trees and is a short walk from Schruns center and the train stations. The hosts were very responsive, friendly, and helpful, with lots of local recommendations. I’d stay at Landhaus Grut again on another trip.

We stayed four nights in the apartment for two, and it was really nice. We felt at home, with plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Inge gave us a warm welcome and tips for restaurants and places to visit. The ski lifts are a short drive away, and we mostly went to St Gallenkirch, about ten minutes by car. You can walk to Schruns Busstation in around ten minutes or take a bus there, then catch one to St Gallenkirch. The bus connection isn’t great, though, and the trip can take 45-60 minutes. I’d recommend this place.

A great base for exploring beautiful Montafon, with parking right in front of the house and the train or bus station nearby. It’s a ten-minute walk to town or the cableway, and every window has a view worth mentioning. The large apartment was perfectly equipped and super clean. Inge and Gerry are really friendly, lovely hosts. Totally recommend it!
