Hotel Buckelhof

The family run feel is lovely, and the owners and staff were so helpful and nice that they made our stay. It’s a cozy Austrian ski hotel with a quiet setting, good parking, and an easy drive to the lifts. We slept well in comfortable beds, and the rooms were a good size. The shower had warm water, the restaurant served nice food, and breakfast was really good too. For us, it was just right and good value in a great ski area. We can only recommend it.

We came in summer by car, with hiking trails and cable cars only a few minutes away. The terrace was big and had a view, the rooms had what we needed, and everything was very clean and cozy. The staff really made our vacation, they were friendly, helpful, and spoke English very well. Breakfast was delicious, especially the freshly baked bread and pastries, and the tea was great. Good coffee was the one thing I missed, though there are options at the nearby gas station or spar. I don’t understand the negative reviews, maybe they’re from before the new owners. We had a great time and will be back next year!

We went in January 2024 and had a really enjoyable stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the food was great. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the ski lift, but since we had no car, we left our skis and boots overnight in lockers at the gondola station, so the distance wasn’t an issue.

We got great advice about days out from the family, who were always happy to help, and the service from the friendly, caring staff was fantastic. The hotel feels cozy and is family run, with new owners who are simply the best. Breakfast was hearty, and the restaurant did a fantastic three course dinner. The rooms were clean and it was excellent value for money. A lovely place for both summer and winter holidays in the Alps. See you again soon, Hotel Buckelhof!
