Michael at reception, and Daniel and Noemi in the restaurant, deserve a special thank you. The food was plentiful and delicious, and both the facilities and service were top-notch. We had a wonderful stay at this excellent hotel. The only downside was the unreliable WiFi. Highly recommended!

We had an unforgettable stay. The setting is enchanting, the décor is tasteful, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, and the food is delicious. Bravo to this lovely family for creating such a charming, warm place. For anyone travelling with a dog, this felt like a real paradise. The welcome for dogs is natural and respectful, and there’s a genuine sense of harmony. So many hotels call themselves dog friendly but come with a long list of restrictions. Here, it feels truly pet friendly, with simplicity in every detail. A beautiful place for people who love beautiful places, too. 🐾✨

Just one night in Seefeld, and the hotel still managed to exceed my expectations. They’ve thought of every little detail to make a stay comfortable.

We discovered this resort when it was still called Tuemmlerhof. It’s kept its classic atmosphere while adding something modern each year, and this year a new lounge made the stay even better. We’ve already booked for summer. We’ve been coming regularly for 33 years, in winter and summer, and have stayed as a couple, with small children and later older children, with friends, and with dogs. There’s always been something for everyone. This January 2025 was no exception. The staff are caring and attentive, especially Gabi in the restaurant and Jean at the bar. The food is amazing, with every dinner a great experience, and breakfast has just about everything you can think of. If it’s your first visit, ask the staff to show you around. Even on a bad weather day there’s plenty to do at the Bergresort, including indoor and outdoor pools, SPA, saunas, a gym, and a relaxation room. It’s a gem!

For dogs, this is a great place. There’s a nice garden for them, towels at the entrance for drying or cleaning them, and a pool area with outdoor spots where dogs can come too. The cleaning ladies and pool attendant were very friendly. Rooms could be cleaned while our dog was still inside, and they left a nice treat for us and the dog. We also got a personalized door hanger to let housekeeping know about the dog. Nights were quiet. The breakfast buffet was very good, especially the freshly made omelette, though we didn’t realize at first that it was included in the price. Definitely order fresh orange juice. They also gave us printed information about local events at breakfast, and there were evenings with live music. The five-course dinner let us choose our dishes. Some were very good, others very bland. It sometimes felt as if different chefs were working on different days, one who seasoned well and another who’d never heard of salt and pepper. The afternoon 'lunch' was always the same apart from the soup choice. There were no mocktails on the menu. One family member is lactose intolerant, which we had mentioned in the booking, but we still had to repeat it every morning when ordering dinner, and she was served dishes with cream. My family often noticed that the lettuce hadn’t been rinsed properly, so I didn’t dare eat raw vegetables because I was worried about the risk of toxoplasmosis. The room situation felt unfair. We booked two edelweiss double rooms at the same price, but got one renovated room and one older one. One couple had a luxurious room with a bubble bath, while the other had a classic, older version. The left side of the bed was worn and made a lot of noise. The older room was boiling hot in August, and there’s no air conditioning. I was pregnant and we brought our own fan, but it was still so hot we could barely sleep. The old curtains let in enough light that we woke at 6am every morning, and there were strange noises, which I think came from a pipe in the wall. My sister had requested a hypo allergenic room with special sheets, which the booking said was possible, but was given a fully carpeted room. Luckily, she could switch after complaining. The information about what’s included and what dogs are allowed to do was limited. There’s a brochure, but it names areas without explaining where to find them. It would be easier if reception briefly explained things. The dog restaurant apparently needed to be booked more than a month in advance. When I asked about a reservation, the head of the restaurant bluntly asked if I wanted one just for fun. I said it would be a nice experience, and she replied that she only makes reservations there if your dog misbehaves when left alone in the room, not for fun. She laughed while answering my genuine question, and I found that extremely rude. Reception service varied. Sometimes it was very slow and seemed unmotivated. Alessandra seemed to be the only one capable of running it. A rude waiter served us in the bar after dinner, though Martin was very friendly. On two different nights, I ordered drinks that were listed on the menu, and the other waiter told me both times that they weren’t possible. Why put them on the menu then? When we went to pay the extra drink charges, one couple was charged 2000 euros even though their room had already been paid for. Their bill was 120. I can’t believe reception made such a huge mistake. Administration and information were chaotic, though Alessandra sorted out the problems that had been made earlier. Service depends on who you get, and food quality changes from day to day.
